Solar Pioneer Prof. Martin Green Wins 2025 International Science and Technology Cooperation Award

Professor Martin Green, a world-renowned solar energy expert from UNSW Sydney and chief scientist at Peakup Power, has received the 2025 International Science and Technology Cooperation Award of the People's Republic of China. The honor, announced today at the annual National Science and Technology Awards Ceremony, is one of China's highest distinctions for foreign researchers.

Martin Green was recognized for his decades-long collaboration with Chinese institutions and his pivotal role in advancing photovoltaic technologies that have helped propel China to the forefront of the global solar industry. Often called the "father of modern photovoltaics" for his pioneering work on silicon solar cells, Green has been a key technical advisor to Peakup Power.  The award not only recognizes Martin Green's lifelong contributions to solar science but also reaffirms Peakup Power's commitment to driving innovation in next-generation photovoltaic technologies.
